Their sparse, tonal music reflects the contemplative journey of troubled boyhood friends Neil (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Brian (Brady Corbet), whose lives as young adults weave them down a slippery and dangerous path of self-discovery.

Since the 1960\'s, Harold Budd has established himself as a premiere composer, expanding the realm of avant-garde minimalism. He has collaborated extensively with Brian Eno, releasing several records on Eno\'s Opal Records and the Eno-affiliated EG Records. Budd worked alongside Robin Guthrie on several albums in the mid 1980\'s, including the Cocteau Twins\' The Moon and The Melodies, and Budd\'s masterpiece The White Arcades. Guthrie was then creating a musical stir in his own right as lead guitarist of the Cocteau Twins. His music captured a dreamy, layered guitar sound that impacted the indie rock scene, and inspired the sound of countless artists to follow. In addition to Guthrie\'s work in the Cocteau Twins, his band Violet Indiana and his solo albums, he has produced and appeared on albums by artists including Ian McCulloch, Lush, Felt and This Mortal Coil.

MYSTERIOUS SKIN has been hailed by critics as writer-director Gregg Araki\'s finest film to date.
